Dana Communications Announces New Interactive Director

Dana has appointed Eric Welsh as the agency’s Interactive Director. In this new role, Welsh consults with Dana’s clients to form tactical plans, share his vision for interactive programs, identify brand barriers and optimize online communications. Partnering with the creative team to determine the most valuable programs and deliverables for clients, Welsh is a new source of information and strategic direction.

Boasting a rather diverse background in several industries, Welsh comes to Dana with a broad range of interactive experience. At NRG Energy, a Fortune 500 energy company, Welsh consulted with the marketing team on cross-platform interactive branding initiatives and established an “online university” for employees to further their careers.

His employment at ArcMesa Educators brought about the establishment of a stronger online presence for the pharmaceutical education company to reach a broader clientele of doctors and hospitals. Additionally, Welsh worked as Lead Interactive Developer for the University Relations Department at Rutgers University, where he was tasked with showcasing the university’s unique character online and implementing the interactive aspects of its new multi-million-dollar branding campaign.

After his years’ worth of experience consulting as an interactive specialist, it was apparent to Welsh that he wanted to become rooted in an industry and see his practices produce positive results. He comes to Dana with an interest in surrounding himself with creative, intelligent individuals associated with an industry for which he has a personal affinity.

Dana brings Welsh on board with the collective goal of integrating the agency’s interactive assets seamlessly into the business plan, with key focuses on new technologies, new business, existing business updates and the development of Dana’s interactive identity and brand.

“I believe that I bring to Dana a balance of creative vision, technological advancement practices and interpersonal relations savvy that will increase our interactive presence within the hospitality industry,” says Welsh. “I hope to provide my peers at Dana with an outlet to express their ideas for future endeavors while becoming an individual that our clients can depend on. The satisfaction of our clients is paramount.”

Dana Communications Develops New Campaign for Millennium Hotels and Resorts

Dana Communications, a full-service hospitality advertising agency, has developed a new marketing campaign for Millennium Hotels and Resorts that focuses on the brand’s ability to fulfill their guests’ deepest desires. “Instead of focusing on traditional images such as staff with silver trays, we’ve freshened the approach by focusing on quirky, personal secret wishes of hotel guests,” says Creative Director, Gene Underwood.

The Secret Service campaign will reflect the exceptional quality of service provided by Millennium staff, implying just how skillfully and discreetly they provide the personal comforts unique to each patron’s stay. The ads will project the understanding that travel creates stress and comfort is achieved when a secret wish is actualized with speed and privacy.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts, a London-based hotel group with 100 properties in 18 countries, asked Dana to compose visually arresting ads for its 14 hotels in the North American Region. The new campaign will be running in unique lifestyle publications, such as Interview.
